Oxford to Heathrow Terminal 2 Taxi
A fixed-price taxi from Oxford to Heathrow Terminal 2 for Star Alliance flights — £95 for the whole car, agreed before you travel. The journey takes roughly 70–90 minutes via the M40 and M25, ending at the central terminal area shared with T3.
Who flies from Terminal 2
Terminal 2 is Heathrow's Star Alliance hub. Lufthansa, United, Air Canada, Singapore Airlines, ANA, Swiss, Austrian Airlines, Turkish Airlines and EgyptAir all operate from T2, alongside non-aligned carriers such as Aer Lingus. It's the terminal of choice for most European and transatlantic Star Alliance connections, plus long-haul routes to Asia and North America. Boarding passes occasionally list a different terminal for codeshare flights, so it's worth double-checking before you travel.
Getting from Oxford to Terminal 2
The route follows the M40 to the M25 interchange at Junction 1a, then the M25 to Junction 15, where signs lead into Heathrow's central terminal area serving T2 and T3. In normal traffic that's around 57 miles and 70–90 minutes door to forecourt; allow longer during the weekday morning and evening peaks, when the approach roads around the central terminals slow down. Your £95 fixed price doesn't change either way.
Fixed price, no meter
£95 covers your exact Oxford pickup address through to the Terminal 2 forecourt, for the whole car — up to 4 passengers and 2 large suitcases in our estate car. No card surcharge, no Heathrow drop-off fee added on top. See the full Oxford to Heathrow pricing for surrounding towns and villages.
Flight-tracked pickup
We track your outbound flight and time your Oxford pickup so you reach check-in in good time, even if Lufthansa, United or another Star Alliance carrier brings the departure forward or pushes it back at short notice.
Terminal 2 Questions
Before you book
How much is a taxi from Oxford to Heathrow Terminal 2?
£95 for the whole car, fixed, from Oxford city centre to Terminal 2 — the same fare whichever Star Alliance flight you're on. Suburbs and towns further out carry a small, clearly stated distance surcharge; see our full price list.
Which airlines fly from Terminal 2?
Terminal 2, The Queen's Terminal, is home to the Star Alliance network — Lufthansa, United, Air Canada, Singapore Airlines, ANA, Swiss, Austrian, EgyptAir, Turkish Airlines and the rest of the alliance. It also hosts some non-aligned carriers, including Aer Lingus. Always check your boarding pass — a small number of Star Alliance codeshares still depart from other terminals.
How long does the Oxford to Terminal 2 taxi take?
Around 70–90 minutes in normal traffic via the M40 and M25. T2 and T3 share the central terminal area, reached via M25 Junction 15, so the run in is a few minutes longer than the direct spur to T5. Allow extra time in the weekday morning and evening peaks.
Where do I meet my driver at Terminal 2?
For departures, we drop you at the T2 forecourt, a short walk from check-in. For arrivals, your driver waits in the Terminal 2 Arrivals hall with a name board, or at the forecourt pickup point if you'd rather head straight there — we'll confirm which when you book.
What if my Star Alliance flight time changes?
We track your outbound flight number, so if Lufthansa, United, Air Canada or any other Star Alliance carrier moves your departure time, your Oxford pickup adjusts automatically — no rushed start, no missed check-in window.
Can I book a return taxi from Terminal 2 to Oxford?
Yes. Give us your inbound flight number and we'll track it, so your driver adjusts to your actual landing time — including any delay — before meeting you in the T2 Arrivals hall for the drive back to Oxford.
